I finally have a chance to sit and knit for a bit. I got about 3 rows of my gauge swatch done last night. Hopefully I get a bit more done tonight.

I had to look for Stuart's Monster Truck book for 15 minutes before I found it stuffed down the side of his bed. Thank goodness I found it, I don't think he would have gone to sleep without it! He is seriously obsessed!

I can't wait for the Frolic this weekend. I am particularly looking forward to the intarsia class. There are sooo many cute intarsia sweaters for kids. He would freak out over a truck sweater. Probably never take it off!

For sure I want to knit the BSJ together. I glanced at the pattern but I might need some advice from my sensei before we start. I will look for wool this weekend.

I will also be bringing my sock (singular) along this weekend. I have finished the leg so hopefully I can finish the heel flap at some point. Its a bit warm for wool socks so my motivation is not very high. I really hope these ones come close to fitting my first attempt was about 3 sizes too big!!!

Sock Monkeys

If I could post a picture, I would post a picture of yooooo...Just kidding. Did you see the sock monkeys made from STR sock yarn on the Yarn Harlot's blog? I could make a sock monkey to keep in the bag decorated with sock monkeys that is holding the Monkey socks that I am knitting from the Cookie A. pattern on www.knitty.com. Ha!

Would you like to knit a BSJ together? We could have a mini knit-a-long. I have some yarn saved up that I could use. Lilac coloured hand dyed worsted weight from https://shelridge.com. Buffy is awhiz with colours. She will be at the Frolic and I'm hoping to find 5 colours that go together to knit the Fair Isle hat in the hat book by Charlene Schurch.

I cast on again for a sock using the STR mediumweight in the colour Pond Scum at soccer practice tonight. I'm hoping to work on them in T.O.

Must go move the laundry. TTFN.

Special Delivery!

Our order arrived!! The Swish DK Dusk is a really nice colour. I can't wait to cast on for Stuart's sweater. I think I will make the basic cardigan from top down toddler. I know, I know make sure I have gauge....
